About The Rusted Rooster
The Rusted Rooster was born in December of 2012 after stumbling upon this charming little building and deciding it was the perfect place to open a little retail shop selling handmade goods and painted furniture. Fast forward to 2017 when the idea to add coffee + food to our shop became a serious reality thanks to a passionate gal, her awesome landlord and a serendipitous conversation.
Lissa Hackney (and her fam since, ya know, it takes a village) has a "think outside the box" entrepreneurial spirit and adoration for the small town charm of Andover, Kansas.
We hope you'll love the quaint and laid-back atmosphere, unique food, and hometown feel that is The Rusted Rooster. We encourage you to come laugh with family, connect with friends, discuss dreams, bring business ideas to life, and to just slow down a bit in this crazy, fast paced world. We keep it old school with board games, cards, puzzles, and corn hole out on our patio. When you come here, you're family. We have twelve years of history building this family!
